Negotiate a Payment Plan
After your tax debt has been reduced to a minimum by amending
or filing previous years returns, in most cases you will
be eligible for a payment plan. If you are not able to pay your
back taxes in full, we will negotiate the lowest possible affordable
monthly payment plan with the IRS. This is known as an Installment
Agreement. Once the IRS has accepted your Installment Agreement,
the IRS will stop any enforcement action as long as you remain
current in your filing dates and payment obligations. This includes
garnishment of your wages and levy of your bank accounts. The
maximum length of the Installment Agreements is usually around
60 months. The main drawback of an Installment Agreement is that
the IRS will continue to add interest and penalty until the debt
is paid in full
